Hi, I’m Nicole (Nic)! I’m a Certified Holistic Health Coach and wellness expert based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Living Well with Nic was created from my lifelong passion for health, nutrition, and wellness. I coach busy women how to lose weight and clear up their skin so they can live a life of confidence without restrictive dieting.
Living Well with Nic is a fresh way of approaching nutrition. It goes beyond “dieting” and focuses on the individual as a whole. I teach you how to listen to your body and make empowered food choices for your unique body type and lifestyle needs. My goal is to help YOU live your most beautiful life.
I have trained under the world’s leading experts in nutrition and wellness at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Through my studies, I have learned the importance of two core concepts known as primary foods and secondary foods. Elements such as a meaningful spiritual practice, an exciting career, regular physical activity, and fulfilling relationships that nourish your soul all constitute primary food. Secondary foods are the actual foods we put into our bodies, such as fruit, vegetables, water, whole grains, etc. The more primary food we receive, the less we rely on secondary food. The opposite is also true. The more we fill ourselves with secondary food, the less we are able to receive the primary food of life. The key is to find balance between our primary foods, which leads to healthier secondary food choices. My passion is to help you find this balance to ignite your inner beauty.
My journey to becoming a Health Coach all started with my desire to change how people view health and wellness. However, the route I took to get here was not so direct.
I had a very different career path in mind when I graduated from college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering and landed my “dream job” at one of the largest food corporations in the world. In my mind, this was the definition of success.
However, I wasn’t happy, even though I had checked off all the boxes to what society said would make me successful.
Once the honeymoon phase of the job wore off, I began to question if this was my true calling. I had this feeling that I was settling and not creating a fulfilling life. It was then, that I decided I was put on this earth for greater things. I wanted to pursue my passion. I was tired of getting asked “What would your dream job be?” or hearing myself say “I wish I could have that job!”
I decided that I wanted to make a life, and not just a living.
I knew I wanted to feel intimately connected to the work that I was producing and see and feel the impact the work has on others.
So, my advice to you is to look within. Listen to your heart. Trust your intuition. Success can be defined in an infinite number of ways. The only definition that matters is YOURS.
Decide what you want. Know what’s most important to you and be prepared to do whatever it takes to create it.
