The health coaching space has exploded over the past few years as more people understand the importance of prioritizing their health. Health coaches are currently in demand, but most lack the proper business training to understand how to expand their business.

As a health coach myself, I understand how frustrating it is to want to help as many people as you can, but not know how to get your business off the ground. When I launched my health coaching business in 2017, I learned from other entrepreneurs, worked with business coaches (which I still do!), and googled a LOT to grow my business and become a full-time health coach.

Today, I work with other health coaches who were in the same position I was in. Frustrated and feeling lost as to how to make health coaching their full-time career. If this sounds like you, keep reading because you’re in the right place, my friend!

Let’s chat about the three most common mistakes I see health coaches make and how to fix them (because that’s the key!)

1. Wanting to help everyone

This is something that 99.9% of health coaches struggle with when first starting a business. You’re passionate about health and nutrition and just want to help EVERYONE! How could that be a bad thing? If you try speaking to everyone you end up speaking to no one. This means that your ideal client will have a very difficult time even finding you because you’re not speaking directly to them. Niche down and then when you think you’re niched down enough, niche down even more!

2. Working too hard to find clients

“How do I find clients” is the most common question I hear from my health coaching clients. Let me first start off by sharing that it’s easier than you think. The secret is knowing how to position yourself. Are you utilizing your social media platform correctly, optimizing your website, getting in front of the right people, collaborating with others in your industry? This is something I help my private business clients and Business Breakthrough Academy students with. Once you have the strategy of knowing how to attract clients, you’re like a magnet…pun intended 😉

3. Wanting to do everything at once

How many times have you started something and then never finished it? This is so common, especially with more creative entrepreneurs. We have so many great ideas constantly popping up that we become easily distracted. We don’t follow-through with the things that are actually important in moving our business forward. The directions you can take your business can honestly be overwhelming! So here’s what I want you to do. Become good at ONE thing at a time. Whether that’s mastering social media, building your website, growing your email list, landing clients, creating content, etc. The more you stay focused on one thing at a time, the most successful you’ll be – trust me.

I want you to ask yourself now. Are you making these mistakes? If you are, I’m here to help you fix them! After working with several private clients and Business Breakthrough Academy students over the past few years, I’ve been able to successfully help other health coaches build thriving businesses.

You are not meant to struggle alone. If I would have known what I know now, I could have saved myself a lot of time and frustration. How would it feel to be handed the roadmap that outlines exactly how to build your business? *sigh of relief
