This apple crisp is the perfect cozy fall dessert made with simple ingredients like oats, almond flour, apples, warming spices and sweetened with coconut sugar. This dish is vegan and gluten-free.
Grease a 10" x 7" or 6" x 9" baking dish with coconut oil.
Slice the apples very thinly.
In a large bowl, stir together the apples, coconut sugar, almond flour, tapioca starch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and fresh lemon juice. Spread evenly into the prepared baking dish.
In a separate medium bowl, stir all the topping ingredients together, except the oil. Once mixed, add in the oil and use your hands to mix together until crumbly, leaving some large crumbs for texture.
Spread all over the top of the apples and bake until golden brown and the apples are soft and bubbly about 50-55 minutes. Let cool for 10-20 minutes.
Serve with dairy-free ice cream! I love Vanilla Bean Coconut Bliss Coconut Milk Ice Cream :)
