Don’t wait for the perfect time to do something. Whether it’s to begin a healthy habit, get into an exercise routine, or chase after your dreams -whatever it is, there is no such thing as the perfect time. Much too often, perfect becomes the enemy of good. Perfection becomes more important than making progress in the first place. Think of all the times you’ve given up on something because you missed a day or deviated from the original plan. Believe it or not, taking the smallest action every day is more powerful than you may think. Small daily actions add up to big results. So, get out there and take action!

Strive for Progress, Not Perfection + Cacao Avocado Smoothie Recipe | Living Well With Nic

Since becoming an Entrepreneur, I have become significantly more busy (in a good way), which means I’m on the go all the time. I try to work out at least five days a week to keep my body and mind sharp! One of my favorite ways to refuel after a workout is making a protein smoothie with healthy fats, fiber, and protein. It’s easy to digest, gives me the energy I need to power through the day, and helps repair my muscles. This Cacao Avocado Smoothie is my personal favorite!

The base of this smoothie is Silk Almondmilk. I have been following a plant-based diet for the past few years and Silk products have been a staple in my diet. Just add Silk! I use them on a daily basis in my lattes and smoothies because they are easy, delicious, and nutritious. Silk Almondmilk is here to help Walmart shoppers define progress on their own terms with easy, delicious smoothie recipes that make sense with their busy lives. Like I mentioned above, big change comes with small steps, and Silk Almondmilk is an easy win for shoppers who are looking for new health and wellness routines.

My two go-to Silk products are Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk and Silk Original Almondmilk. I typically use the Original flavor in my lattes and the Unsweetened Vanilla in my smoothies. All Silk products are non-GMO and non-dairy, which is great if you’re looking for a delicious milk alternative.

The key to making the ultimate post-workout smoothie is the trio of protein, fat, and fiber. The main ingredients in this smoothie are Silk Vanilla Unsweetened Almondmilk, plant-based protein powder, avocado, chia seeds, and cacao powder. By combining protein, fat, and fiber into every meal or snack, that will ensure you stay satisfied in between meals. Healthy fats are especially important for sustained energy. Silk Almondmilks help me maintain a healthy lifestyle and stick to a plant-based diet.

    Nic-
This smoothie looks delicious. How many carbs & sugar does it contain? I’m trying to keep my numbers low for health issues.

    Thanks-

Hi Donna! One smoothie contains 6 grams of net carbs and less than 2 grams of sugar. Hope that helps!

Hi Kristina! I don’t normally share nutrient breakdown on my recipes since I believe in eating intuitively and focusing on eating whole, plant-based foods. With that being said, this smoothie can definitely aid in weight loss as avocados and chia seeds are high in fiber. Vegan protein smoothies make for an excellent snack! I hope you enjoy the recipe 🙂
